Junior experts (m/f/d) in the distribution of satellite data

By optimally selecting satellite image data, you ensure the best possible support right from the start of the value chain, both within the company and with our customers. Experienced colleagues will familiarise you with the specifics and requirements of your area of responsibility, so that in future you will also be able to independently process time-critical customer inquiries in the 12/7 on-call services.

In addition to these subject-specific tasks, the position offers you the opportunity to acquire and deepen knowledge and experience in the areas of account management and customer support and to take on additional responsibilities.

Your responsibilities include:

• The full processing of customer inquiries or internal company data inquiries:
• Research of satellite image data in accordance with the respective customer or project requirements
• Review of researched satellite image data and their metadata with regard to their suitability
• Appealing preparation of search results in map and text form and making them available to customers or internal company contacts
• Advice and regular exchange of information on the status of data research, in particular for high-volume and complex projects
• Procurement of satellite image data, quality control and subsequent provision/delivery to the client
• Collaboration in 12/7 emergency services

They have:

• Completed training as a geomatician/cartographer (m/f/d) or
• A completed university degree (B.Sc.) in the field of geosciences or a comparable degree program
• Knowledge of using GIS software
• Knowledge in the area of satellite-based remote sensing (optical data and radar data)
• Strong service orientation, team spirit and good communication skills
• Very good German (C1-C2) and good English (written and spoken) skills
• The willingness and motivation to work in a 12/7 shift system on weekends and holidays
• An independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working
• Agility and flexibility to respond to changing challenges in an interdisciplinary environment
• Reliability and commitment at work even under time-critical conditions and when multitasking
