Remote Sensing Expert (m/f/d)

Join our team and help shape the collection of geodata in the state of Brandenburg. As a remote sensing specialist (m/f/d), you are significantly involved in the collection and provision of current basic geodata for the state of Brandenburg. The LGB is not only a data provider in the area of basic geodata and geotechnical data, but also acts primarily as a central geoservice provider for many authorities and institutions in Brandenburg.

The position is from now on, in our office potsdam in Department 22, perpetual with Pay grade 11 TV-L to occupy.

These tasks await you:

• Cooperation in the preparation of procurement documents for flights, evaluation of offers
• Independent quality testing of digital aerial photos and other data
• Production, processing and quality control of image-based surface models and digital orthophotos (bDOM, SDoP and TrueDop)
• qualitative improvement, preparation and internal transfer of results
• Optimization/development of technological processes
• Analysis and processing of satellite data (Copernicus)
  

You have these qualifications:

• Conclusion: studies in the field of geodesy, geoinformation, remote sensing or comparable subject,
• Expertise: Profound knowledge of photogrammetric principles and software as well as GIS platforms, practical experience and knowledge in digital image processing
• language skills: Good written and spoken German language skills (language level B2) as well as the ability to use English-language documents in practice.
