Cologne is a modern and future-oriented metropolis with supra-regional significance. In order to be able to tackle a wide range of economic and socio-political issues responsibly and to ensure the functioning of the city administration in the long term, it needs talents who are interested in structural policy challenges and want to shape the image of the city of Cologne both within the city and across the region.

The Office for Real Estate, Surveying and Cadastre deals with Cologne properties, the valuation and measurement of land, the documentation of land in the official real estate register and land regulations.

Efficient real estate and land management are the basic requirement for a modern society. Especially in a growing city with millions of inhabitants such as Cologne, municipal capacity must be ensured through demand-oriented and forward-looking land management. In doing so, transparency and legal certainty on the real estate market must be ensured with the involvement of the municipal community. Against this background, we are now looking for young managers (m/f/d) for our trainee program.

The City of Cologne will spend 24 months preparing you for future management tasks, among other things. During this period, you will get to know various areas of the Office for Real Estate, Surveying and Cadastre as part of job rotation. This gives you a comprehensive insight into the diversity of specialist and management tasks.

    relevant legislation (cadastral, land register and fee law as well as land valuation, land regulations and data protection regulations) and their application in official surveying and cadastral systems
  • have special skills to manage and motivate employees, have diversity convictions, gender competencies and promote individuality and diversity and implement the inclusion agreement
  • are a cooperative, argumentative and integrity personality who thinks and acts entrepreneurially
  • are goal-oriented, strong in communication, and self-reflective

The recruitment is initially limited to two years. If the trainee program is successfully completed, the trainee program will be accepted into a permanent civil service contract if the personal requirements are met.

The weekly working time is 41 hours for civil servants and 39 hours for employees. Employment is possible on a part-time and full-time basis. Part-time employment extends the duration of the trainee program.
