We collect data for gigabit expansion and make it available to the market via the Infrastructure Atlas and the Broadband Atlas for planning network expansion. In future, both instruments will be combined in the Gigabit Land Register.
The Infrastructure Atlas is a geoinformation system developed and operated by us, which presents information about existing fiber optic lines, empty conduit capacities, radio masts and other locations relevant for mobile network expansion from currently over 4,000 network operators in Germany. The Broadband Atlas shows the availability of various bandwidths for end customers.
When collecting and presenting data, we take into account the interests of data providers with regard to confidential and appropriate handling of data.
The preparation and validation of data is of particular importance. Since the Gigabit Land Register is the data basis for a wide range of decisions, uniform standards are important when processing and evaluating data.
