Head of Department 2.1 - Urban Development and Economic Development (m, f, d)

Wanted.

This is a permanent full-time position with a weekly working time of currently 39 hours.

Comprehensive measures are currently being implemented in Kreuzau and over the next few years as part of the master plan, which will shape the image of the central town and the individual districts. It is therefore necessary to fill the position with a creative and professionally and personally convincing manager.

The Department 2.1 team comprises a total of around 25 employed colleagues (including sales representatives). The department supervises all tasks relating to the following subject areas and fields of activity.

• Urban land use planning

• Urban development promotion/village renewal

• Building management/building construction

• Properties and Forests

• Economic promotion

• tourism

The area of responsibility mainly comprises the following activities:

• Management and Management of Department Staff

• Responsibility for processing and supervising all land use planning processes, in particular municipal land use planning (e.g. land use plan, development plans, interior statutes), higher planning levels (e.g. regional plan, state development plan), writing planning statements within the framework of building permits, participation of the municipality in planning processes of external project promoters

• Development of future-oriented strategies and visions for a modern crossroads, particularly in the area of urban development and building construction

• Initiation, Development and Updating of Strategic Planning Principles (e.g. Integrated Urban Development Concepts, Retail and Center Concepts)

• Project Management and Responsibility in the Areas mentioned above

• Management of financial controlling in the areas mentioned above

• Assumption of the role of client in urban development measures and significant building construction projects

• Negotiations with Engineers/Architects/Planners, Citizens, Politicians

• Create session templates

• Initiation, planning and representation of the community at public participation, information events, (partial) public workshops, etc.

• Representing the field of activity in local political bodies

• Independent and independent processing of significant and particularly complex tasks and individual cases from the entire area of responsibility of the department

Your profile:

• a degree in public administration (Diploma in Administration, Bachelor of Arts Public Management, Administrative Specialist)

alternatively A completed university degree in the fields of geography, urban/spatial planning, architecture or people with a comparable degree (master or diploma)

• Several years of professional experience in the above areas of responsibility with management functions

• Knowledge of the essential legal principles in the areas of planning law, building regulations, building construction, monument protection

• Structured, independent and responsible way of working
