Your future tasks:

On behalf of the district administrator, they fulfill the legal tasks of a lower contaminated sites and soil protection authority. They research and assess the risks to soils and waters posed by current and old commercial enterprises, old garbage dumps, the use of excavated soil on agricultural land, soil compaction and soil erosion due to rain and wind. If necessary, avert these risks in consultation with the persons responsible for restructuring or through official orders.

Your considerations of research methods and scope, based on, for example, site visits, eyewitness interviews, evaluations of files, geographic information systems and other sources, are regularly the basis for procurement procedures to drilling companies, laboratories and experts. In doing so, you also coordinate with other specialist departments here in the company and higher-level specialist authorities and monitor the implementation of the measures on site.

You give your opinion on various approval and planning procedures in your area. You will also document your work in the environmental information system, for which, after appropriate training, you will also be responsible for coordinating. You can expect a particularly diverse range of tasks and dedicated colleagues in a specialist service where teamwork is a top priority.

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in environmental engineering, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, geosciences, biogeosciences, geoecology, geology, ecogeology, hydrogeology, civil engineering, agricultural sciences or comparable
  • Knowledge of standard office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as the willingness to familiarise yourself with subject-specific software (e.g. K3 environmental information system, Disy-Cadenza evaluation software or the geographic information system (GIS)) and digital file management
  • organizational skills, ability to work in a team, ability to work independently
  • Class 3 or B driving license and the willingness to use the private car for business purposes in return for reimbursement of expenses in accordance with travel expenses law
  • Ideally, basic knowledge of the geoinformation system
  • Knowledge of contract and public procurement law (VgV, UVgO, VOB/A) is desirable
