Application Manager - GIS Geodata Management (m/f/d)

This is what you can expect:

Your main task is to maintain and develop the existing GIS infrastructure:

• You support the introduction and development of GIS workplaces where QGIS serves as a basic component

•You will also be responsible for the associated geodata management

• You assist with complex data modelling, data evaluations and recordings

• In addition, you will take up technical requirements, examine their feasibility and make recommendations for implementation

• You will also conduct training courses and provide Group members with advice and assistance on GIS topics

Your profile:

• You have a completed (technical) university degree, preferably in the area of geoinformatics, surveying technology, geography or in a degree program in the IT environment with practical experience in the GIS world, or you have successfully completed a technical

and/or vocational training in drawing, ideally as a geomatician (m/f/d) or surveyor (m/f/d) or IT specialist (m/f/d) system integration with practical experience in the GIS world

• In addition, you have good previous knowledge and experience of geographic information systems (focus on QGIS) and geodata infrastructures.

• Know-how in the areas of database management systems, in particular when using them for geoinformation systems (PostgreSQL/PostGIS) and the Python programming language would be desirable

• A high level of personal initiative, an independent and solution-oriented way of working and customer-oriented thinking round off your problem
