Geoinformatician/developer_ in the area of GIS applications (m/f/d)
(Pay grade 11 TVöD/grade A 11)
The position has an employment rate of 100% and is to be filled indefinitely.
As a cross-sectional office, the Geoinformation Department operates an interdepartmental geoinformation system and a geoportal based on ESRI. It develops and supports numerous specialized GIS applications.
The area of responsibility mainly comprises:
- Development of our GIS systems and the municipal project database
- Development and introduction of software components in the GIS environment
- Design and development of generic specialist applications in collaboration with other specialist offices
- Participation in the design and implementation of urban digitization projects
- Development of interfaces to integrate various IT systems (e.g. DMS ELO, INPRO, project management software, etc.)
- Participation in working and project groups (e.g. XPLANUNG project group)
- Deputy head of the team “GIS Applications Development”
Your profile:
- a completed university degree in geoinformatics, computer science or a comparable field of study or relevant experience in software development
We expect:
- Knowledge of software programming (Javascript, Java, Python) and know-how in using web technologies and WebGIS applications including the associated frameworks; experience with FME is an advantage
- Experience in working with geoinformation systems (desktop and web), ideally in the ESRI environment and with geodata
- Creativity and joy in developing good and at the same time pragmatic (software) solutions
- good communication skills with the ability to make compromises
- Ability to work in a team and commitment
- Experience in project work is desirable
