Speaker/Speaker (m/f/d) for Geoinformatics/Geodata

With an employment rate of 100%. The position is permanent.

Your tasks

• Operation and (further) development of the geodata infrastructure of the Archdiocese of Cologne

• Design and implementation of individual spatial and spatial analyses and visualizations, including their documentation and introduction

• Design and implementation of strategies for using open data sets from public authorities (OpenData)

• Programming Algorithms to Prepare Data and Processes for Automated Map Creation

• Support for specialist units in the use of geodata

• Participation in interdiocesan cooperation regarding the use of geodata

• Participation in the development and operation of reporting & BI applications, in particular with regard to the presentation of spatial information

Your profile

• Completed scientific (technical) university degree (master/diploma) in geoinformatics, geomatics, geography, cartography or computer science (with GIS knowledge) or equivalent qualification

• Knowledge in managing data sets (SQL, OpenData) and in particular with OGC standards (e.g. WMS, WFS)

• Knowledge of using GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS), WebGIS technologies (e.g. Mapbender)

• Programming skills (e.g. Python, Powershell)

• Ability to communicate IT topics

• strong social and communication skills, team spirit and service orientation

• high level of initiative and independence, goal orientation and willingness to take responsibility

• Identification with the Tasks, Goals and Values of the Catholic Church
