At the Dithmarschen district, there is a position in the Construction, Nature Conservation and Regional Development Department as soon as possible as

Engineer or technical clerk (m/f/d) at the Lower Nature Conservation Authority

to occupy. It is a permanent, generally shareable full-time position in a multi-professional team of administrative and technical staff. The position is endowed with grade 11 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD).

The field of activity comprises the following focal areas

• the perception of the concerns of nature conservation and landscape management as a provider of public interest in construction plans, municipal landscape planning and land reclamation processes
• the technical processing of interventions in nature and landscape as well as eco-accounts including on-site acceptance (including compensation measures)
• Comments on building applications/preliminary building inquiries as well as BIMSchG procedures and other permit projects
• advice on nature conservation issues for authorities, municipalities, associations, private individuals and other stakeholders
• Involvement in maintaining and developing protected areas

They have

• a degree as an engineer (diploma/bachelor/master) in the field of state management/landscape planning/landscape ecology/landscape architecture or environmental planning or a comparable degree

and

• Class B driving license

and

• very good written and spoken German language skills (C1)

Desirable are

• Profound expertise in nature protection law (in particular intervention/compensation regulation, FFH impact assessment, environmental impact assessment in accordance with UVPG and species protection law) as well as basic knowledge of building planning law, Microsoft Office modules and the use of GIS systems; in-depth knowledge can be acquired as part of continuing education
